If you desire to get waves when you open the braid then create a Dutch braid on wet hair. Comb back your hair smoothly before you start your work. Make sure that it is one inch thick and 5 inches wide. If you are afraid that by the end your braid will get an ugly pouffe then to avoid this tie the gathered hair with elastic to ensure a good and tight braid.
